2013

The Benecon Group
donated $15,000 each to the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic and the Clinic for Special Children on September 6th, 2013 at the Samuel N. Lombardo Foundation's annual Lombardo Charity Cup Invitational.

The Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic, located on Lime Street in Lancaster, is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of infants, children and adults with craniofacial conditions resulting from birth defects, trauma and disease. The Clinic for Special Children, located in Strasburg, is a non-profit medical service for Amish and Mennonite children, providing healthcare and research for children with genetic disorders.

Pa. Chamber, subsidiary and The Benecon Group announce a new program which offers self-insurance options to business with more then 25 employees. The PA Chamber Insurance Benefits Consortium is an administrative services-only agreement which allows business to keep their current carrier, network and plan design. To read more click here.

 
October 1, 2013 brings the opening of the new individual and small-business marketplaces as well as the deadline for companies to notify their employees of the existence of those marketplaces. The Benecon Group has been helping its clients by drafting cover letters to be sent out to their employees. To read more click here.


Across Central Pennsylvania, brokers are advising clients wanting to maintain their current coverage to plan for increases of 30 percent — or more — that may continue rising in subsequent years.
